The Heart on the Stand

Well, Got the 351W onto the engine stand yesterday. It will probably stay there for a while. Although, I will begin dismantling it here and there.

My plan it to get it stripped, and use it as a template when I start working on the engine compartment, that way I can mock it up, with just the heads and headers on it.

Heart of the Beast

Picked up a 351W last night. Needs a rebuild, but it was cheap. Engine was complete, even had an Edelbrock carb.

Basket Case

Rudedog

This is the blog of my newest, most craziest idea yet. On 20 July, 2014, I became the owner of a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe, and it is a BASKET CASE! The car will be restored/semi-customized. It was a factory V-8, no power steering, no power brakes. The engine compartment was "hammered" to accept a 351W, instead of the stock 200 HP 289. I would like to put in a 351W, but would be OK with a 302 or 289. The car will be my wife's, hence the name 'Rudedog', which she nick-named her first car, a 1990 Nissan Sentra. Plus she has always loved Gen 1 Mustangs. This means I will be upgrading to power steering, as well as 4 wheel disc power brakes, for safety.

This will take along time! This year probably won't see any major work being done. First order of business is to buy a new welder. My little Craftsman won't be able to keep up. Possibly a new air compressor too.

Of coarse I will post pictures and information along the way, even if no work in getting done to the car itself.
